Let beauty awake from sleeping Does the caterpillar dream of flying Let beauty awake from dreaming Her kiss is irresistible
2.
Rubble 03:30
We wait for this house to come crashing Please don't worry, it's not so bad We can always start over Not all the rubble is trashed
3.
Imagining 05:05
It's a beautiful world we're imagining now And the thing that we need is imagining What we get is what we see, when will we say It's a beautiful world we're imagining? (Now)
4.
Can we see hope from where we are? We're heating up and our blood will boil Can we see life from where we stand? 'Cause we embrace with a frozen hand
5.
Ploughshares 06:15
So fire all the guns up into the sky 'Cause a bullet that's lost is another man's child We could beat them down, we could beat down the swords Could be the thing that rescues us all

about

"A Beautiful Grief" is the debut EP of The Flints, who emerged in 2017 in Sydney, Australia. "A Beautiful Grief" represents one side of The Flints' eclectic, contrastive style, focusing in on the darker end of their repertoire. It's a trek through the grief experienced when living in a world that is so beautiful and yet so disordered.

The recording of "A Beautiful Grief" was swift—less than 28 hours in total—with the aim of capturing an organic sound that matches The Flints' live performance. In fact, the vast majority of the EP is made up of first or second takes, an approach that captures something raw and human that could too easily have been edited into oblivion. Thankfully, Miles Devine's production approach was perfect for The Flints' debut, providing the imaginative and judicious touch needed to bring the Flints' musical vision to life.
